Year 11 are now able to access GCSE Pod, a specialist website full of useful revision materials for many of their subjects.

SCHOOL NURSING TEAM - TEENAGE BOOSTER VACCINATION

DIPHTHERIA, TETANUS AND POLIO, MMR, MENACWY

The school nursing team is due to attend your child’s school to offer the Teenage booster vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus and polio, MMR as well as the MENACWY vaccination, to all pupils in year 9 who require vaccination and to those in Year 10 and 11 who has missed previous sessions that already have returned consent from last year.

Some pupils in Year 10 & 11 will receive a new consent form, please complete this and return to the school asap.

Please ensure you complete the separate consent forms and return them to your child’s school as soon as possible by the 27thof APRIL.

Vaccinations will take place on the 11thof May in School.

Autism and Communication - This workshop focuses on having an awareness of the different learning and communication styles within our young people and why visual tools are used & made to meet the individual needs of our young person, no matter what their age. We hope to give you more ideas around improving communication with your young person in home and out and about in the community to support their independence.

Presents Annie

AnnieWe are pleased to announce that our tickets for this years production for Annie are now on sale. The shows are Monday 11th July - Thursday 14th July, starting at 6:30pm.

Tickets can be purchased, from the school reception, at any time during school hours. Pupils can purchase tickets during break times only, from the ticket office (opposite the school hall).

Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.

Please note that due to limited seating in the hall, tickets will not be available to purchase on the door so must be purchased in advance.

Reminder

Due to ongoing Covid restrictions pupils and students are reminded to bring to school their own full water bottle for their own personal use. Bottles can be refilled during break times from the Refectory by the catering staff; bottles will need to be presented to the catering staff who will refill them.

Just browse Accessit, the Library Web App, and reserve the book(s) you want... (remember to log in first!)

We'll email you when the books are ready to collect from Reception. (Please don't turn up unless you've had an email!)

Remember to observe the COVID-19 safety guidelines when collecting your books - face covering, hand-washing, social distancing.

Reserved books not collected within the fortnight will be returned to the Library.

(You will also be able to return books to a box in Reception when you collect your books. There is no need to return books unless you are collecting new ones - all books can be returned to the Library once you are back in school.)

All books will be handled safely according to the required COVID-19 guidelines.

The trenching work will commence on 11 Mar 24 by Welsh Water on behalf of the new Welsh primary school being built by Morgan Sindell. The responsibility to provide access, both vehicle and pedestrian, falls to Welsh Water and whilst there may be some disruption it should be minimal.
